Choi Jungwon joined the KLPGA Tour as an associate member in July and won the 9th event of the Solago Jump (third division) Tour just one week later. After being promoted to full membership in August and moving to the Dream Tour, she lifted her first trophy in her sixth event on the tour.
Choi expressed her joy, saying, "I am truly happy to have seized this precious opportunity and won. Both my shots and putts went as I wanted today, which led to a great result." She added, "I hope to achieve good results in the remaining King of Kings event this season and secure my seed for the regular tour. I want to debut on the regular tour next year and challenge for the Rookie of the Year award."
Park Yeji reduced her score by five strokes to finish as runner-up. Kim Stella and Kim Haram2 tied for third place (10-under-par 134), while Jang Eunsu, the winner of the 17th Dream Tour event, finished tied for 78th (1-under-par 143). The Dream Tour has only the final event remaining, the Pharmaresearch Rejuran King of Kings event (total prize fund of 200 million won), which will be held at Phoenix Country Club in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, for three days starting from October 20.
