Assemblyman Jeong Chunseng Raises Questions at Public Administration and Security Committee Audit
"Parties with Hate Banners Fail to Meet Registration Requirements"
Yoon Hojung: "We Will Manage and Crack Down Thoroughly"
Yoon Hojung, Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, has warned of measures regarding the spread of protest banners and party banners containing hate speech, such as 'anti-China,' stating, "We are taking this issue very seriously."
On October 14, during the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee audit, Minister Yoon responded in this way to Assemblyman Jeong Chunseng of the Innovation of the Fatherland Party, who raised concerns about the occupation incident at Incheon Airport during Professor Mostan's arrival and party banners containing messages supporting martial law.

Assemblyman Jeong pointed out, "After directly investigating the banners of the 'Naeillo Miraero' party installed in Yeongdeungpo District, my office found that there are four banners just in Mullae-dong," and added, "Regulations prohibit installing more than two banners per neighborhood, so they can be removed immediately, but authorities are doing nothing."
He further revealed that there are indications these parties have illegally registered their offices. Assemblyman Jeong emphasized, "Among the party offices registered by the Naeillo Miraero party with the National Election Commission, the Daejeon, Sejong, North Chungcheong, South Chungcheong, and South Gyeongsang offices are all ordinary residences, and the Gyeonggi office is a commercial building," stressing, "All of these are falsely registered." In order for a party to be established, it must have offices in at least five metropolitan or provincial areas.
Assemblyman Jeong also criticized the 'Freedom and Innovation' party, led by former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn, stating, "The address for the Ulsan office is a church, and the North Gyeongsang office is registered at an administrative welfare center, which is essentially a district office," and argued, "The registration requirements for both parties are unconstitutional and illegal."
Minister Yoon stated, "We will work to clearly verify the authenticity of these parties' registration details," and added, "We will manage and crack down on these matters thoroughly."
