Nakwol Blue Heart Sponsors "2025 Seoul Philharmonic Happy Concert, Together! II"

The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra’s “Happy Concert, Together! II” (hereafter referred to as “Happy Concert”) once again filled the stage with warm melodies this year. The Happy Concert was held with the sponsorship of Nakwol Blue Heart, which is leading the largest privately driven offshore wind power project in Korea (364.8MW) in Yeonggwang Nakwol.

Nakwol Blue Heart, a leader in Korea’s offshore wind power supply chain, officially sponsored the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra’s “2025 Happy Concert, Together! II,” which took place at Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul at 5 p.m. on October 12, according to an announcement on the 14th.

“Happy Concert, Together!” is a performance created by youth musicians with disabilities and members of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra provides young people who are overcoming disabilities with opportunities to grow as professional musicians through personalized private lessons and guidance from its members.

This year’s concert featured a total of 37 performers, including: violinists (Kang Jaeyoung, Kang Jiweon, Gong Minbae, Kwon Hyesung, Kim Chaeum, Park Junhyeong, Park Hyeongjun, Seo Mingyo, Song Wuryeon, Cho Yoonseong, Choi Yoonjeong), violists (Kim Yoonse, Ryu Jongwon, Yoon Seongjun, Jang Yujin, Jeon Hyeonsu), cellists (Kim Dabin, Park Yurim, Son Jeonghwan, An Seonwoo, Cho Honghee, Cha Jiwoo), double bassist (Hong Jeonghan), flutists (Kang Songgang, Lee Yunheon, Ha Yubin, Hwang Heeseop), clarinetists (Kim Mincheol, Joo Chani), horn player (Kim Suhyeon), trumpeters (Lim Jegyun, Jeong Soyoung, Hong Linkyeong), trombonist (Jeon Jin), percussionists (Park Byeongjun, Yoo Yongyeon), and harpist (An Yongju).

On this day, the performers and orchestra members, under the baton of David Yi-former associate conductor of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and currently the artistic director and principal conductor of the Gangnam Symphony Orchestra-presented a joint stage featuring works by Sibelius, Monti, Saint-Saens, Vivaldi, and Beethoven.

In particular, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra’s founding and the 20th anniversary of the foundation, musicians who participated in the Happy Concert from 2022 to 2025 also joined, making the moment even more meaningful. In July of this year, they had already successfully completed the “2025 Happy Concert, Together! I” at the Sejong Center Chamber Hall. During this performance, they showcased the skills they had honed over time, receiving enthusiastic applause and cheers from an audience of 1,300.

A representative from Nakwol Blue Heart stated, “Music is a language that transcends disability, prejudice, and discrimination, and can be understood by all. We will continue to support the ‘Happy Concert, Together!’ in collaboration with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra to expand opportunities for cultural exchange among socially disadvantaged groups and citizens.”

Meanwhile, Nakwol Blue Heart is building the country’s largest privately led offshore wind power complex, with a capacity of 364.8MW (5.7MW x 64 turbines), in the waters near Songido off the coast of Jeonnam. More than 100 Korean companies, including GS Entec, Samil C&S, Taihan Electric Wire, POSCO, and Hyundai Steel, are participating in the project, contributing to the expansion of the domestic supply chain ecosystem for offshore wind power. As of the end of September, the construction progress rate exceeded 65%. After the completion and start of commercial operation (COD) of the wind farm in the first half of next year, it is expected to produce over 900 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean electricity annually, enough to supply approximately 250,000 households.
