The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has produced and distributed five types of "Growth Introduction Books for New Public Officials" to help new local government officials adapt to their work and grow steadily.
This Growth Introduction Book is the first in the country to systematically organize a customized educational resource for new public officials, focusing on adaptation to public service and strengthening practical skills.
The introduction book is comprised of four areas: ▲General Administration ▲Payroll ▲Expenditure and Contracts ▲Supplies and Technical Positions. The general administration section covers basic common content needed by all new public officials across job series, while the other sections include relevant basic practical matters for each field.

In addition, the book explains laws and guidelines that new public officials often find difficult in an easy-to-understand question-and-answer (Q&A) format, as if a senior official is personally guiding them.
In particular, the technical positions section is organized around key processes for each specialized area such as architecture, civil engineering, machinery, and electricity, as well as common topics like safety and defect management.
The Growth Introduction Book will be sequentially distributed, starting with the educational administration section being posted on the website in early October, followed by the technical positions section on November 1.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education also plans to produce and distribute physical copies of the book at the training session for new appointees, which will be hosted by the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Yulgok Training Institute in December.
