A representative from Hope Bridge stated, "The goal of this project is to help the local community recover on its own even after wildfire damage," adding, "We will continue to implement various support programs to enhance the resilience of regions struggling with disasters."
Since June, Hope Bridge has selected five organizations to carry out recovery projects for the Gyeongbuk and Gangwon regions affected by the major wildfires of 2022, rolling out projects totaling 1.5 billion won. Each organization will pursue tailored recovery initiatives until June next year, including: building an artificial intelligence (AI)-based wildfire monitoring and response system; revitalizing the local economy through processing of alternative crops in wildfire-affected areas; and providing medical support for residents in affected regions.
