[Market Focus] Clobot Selected for Top-tier AI Overseas Talent Project... Strengthening Global Physical AI Technology

Clobot is showing strong performance. This is believed to be influenced by the news that the company has been selected for the government-led “Top-tier AI Overseas Talent Support Project.”

According to industry sources, Clobot announced on this day that it has been finally selected for the “Top-tier AI Overseas Talent Support Project,” which is supervised by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation.

This project was awarded through a consortium involving Professor Hyejin Oh from the Robotics Department at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in the United States and Sungkyunkwan University, securing a total funding of 5 billion won.

This amount is approximately 15% of Clobot's sales of 33.4 billion won last year, marking a large-scale R&D investment project aimed at securing global physical AI technology capabilities.

Through this project, Clobot plans to strengthen its physical AI capabilities, enabling robots to actively interact with external environments in areas such as autonomous driving, AI vision, and the learning and control of humanoids. The recruited global AI talent will collaborate with Clobot’s existing research staff to develop a multimodal humanoid foundation AI model, thereby contributing to the independence of humanoid robot technology and enhancing the competitiveness of the domestic robotics industry.
