Since 2022, Gyeonggi Province has been the first in the country to introduce online financial accounting guidance inspections, thereby increasing the transparency of public finances.
In addition, the province is working to create a transparent and safe childcare environment through efficient guidance inspections, such as checking the status of CCTV installation and operation, to prevent child abuse at daycare centers.
Ko Hyunsook, Director of Childcare Policy at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "In order to create a childcare environment where parents can feel secure entrusting their children, public officials in charge must do their utmost to prevent and eradicate child abuse and respond swiftly, based on their capabilities and sense of responsibility, while actively communicating with daycare centers."
