Mofac Studio announced on the 13th that it has secured an investment of approximately 6 billion won from Altos Ventures. This investment was made solely by Altos Ventures.

Jang Sung-ho, founder and CEO of Mofac, is a first-generation Korean specialist in visual effects (VFX). He has been responsible for CG work in numerous well-known productions such as Haeundae, Roaring Currents, and Sweet Home, and in April of this year, he released the feature-length animation King of Kings. This animation premiered in North America in April and recorded 10 billion won in sales during its first week, ranking second at the box office. Within just a few days of its release, cumulative box office revenue surpassed approximately 27.2 billion won.

Mofac's strength lies in its technological capabilities. By applying Unreal Engine, which has been developed in the Korean gaming industry, to film production, the company has established a production environment that enables real-time simulation and review. This has allowed them to reduce both production costs and time while enhancing quality. In addition, by introducing artificial intelligence (AI)-based virtual set filming and editing, Mofac has shortened overall production periods by up to 30%, further expanding the use of AI across content production.

A representative from Altos Ventures stated, "Mofac has developed a meticulous growth strategy based on technological innovation, a global intellectual property strategy, and box office potential proven in North America. We see significant potential for Mofac's global expansion through this investment."

Jang Sung-ho, CEO of Mofac Studio, said, "With this investment, we plan to expand the planning and production of our next feature-length animation. We will strengthen R&D based on AI and virtual production and accelerate the expansion of our global distribution network, with a focus on North America."
