The Cultural Heritage Administration and the National Heritage Promotion Agency will hold the exhibition "Kyeol: In the Flow of Time," featuring works by designated holders of National Intangible Heritage, at Nodel Gallery Hall 2 in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, from October 16 to 30.
This annual exhibition, which has been held since 2017, will showcase works by 44 artists across 20 categories of traditional craftsmanship, divided into three themed spaces: "Nature's Time," "Artisan's Time," and "Artwork's Time." Notable pieces include "Yeonsancheopcheop" by Noh Hyunmin (embroidery artisan), which expresses the ridges of Korean mountains using gold and silver threads, and "Nak-hwa Seonmyeonhwa" by Kim Yujin (pyrography artisan).
The event will also feature a docent program, where visitors can hear explanations about the works directly from the artists, as well as hands-on experiences in traditional crafts. Admission is free. The exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Cultural Heritage Administration is also supporting solo exhibitions.
