Up to 32,000 Points Awarded Monthly for Six Months
SK Telecom announced on October 13 that it will launch 'Air,' a digital communication service exclusively for unlocked phones. The Air app will be available for download from 10 a.m. that day on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and customers can also sign up for and activate the service starting the same day.
Air is a new digital communication brand from SK Telecom, specifically targeting customers who use unlocked phones. It was designed with a focus on simple plans and practical benefits, based on an analysis of the needs of its primary customer base: people in their 20s and 30s.

SK Telecom is running several promotions, including a bonus pack event that provides new line subscribers with between 19,000 and 32,000 points each month for six months. The bonus pack event is available to all customers who activate a new line or transfer their number through the Air app from October 13 until further notice.
Depending on the selected plan, customers will receive the following monthly points for six months: 19,000 points for the 7GB plan, 20,000 points for the 15GB plan, 23,000 points for the 30GB plan, 30,000 points for the 71GB plan, and 32,000 points for the 100GB & unlimited plan.
Accumulated points can be used to pay up to 5,000 won off the monthly bill, providing a discount benefit. The Air app's point shop offers about 1,000 products across categories such as department stores, convenience stores, and Olive Young, as well as shopping and dining. Points are valid for two years.
As a launch promotion, customers who sign up for the 7GB plan will be able to use data at speeds up to 1Mbps without additional charges after their basic data allowance is used up, for 12 months from the time of subscription. After the benefit period ends, a data speed limit (QoS) of up to 400kbps will apply. This promotion is available to customers who sign up by December 31, 2025.
Air can be activated immediately with an eSIM. For physical USIM activation, customers can choose from three delivery options: same-day quick delivery, same-day courier, or standard courier, depending on their needs. To mark the launch, both eSIM and USIM issuance fees and USIM delivery fees will be waived once.
To celebrate the launch, SK Telecom is also holding an event where customers can earn points simply by signing up as a member on the Air app, without activating a line. All new members will receive 10,000 points instantly upon registration. In addition, through a friend invitation event, a total of 200 teams (400 people) will be selected by lottery to receive 100,000 won in Naver Pay points per team. The friend invitation event will run until October 31.
A step-counting event is also being held. Air line subscribers who activate the step counter in the app and walk a total of just 1,000 steps in a month will receive 1,000 points. For each consecutive month of participation, the points awarded increase by 1,000, so that after four consecutive months, a total of 10,000 points can be accumulated.
Lee Seungha, Head of the Air Service Division at SK Telecom, said, "Air is a communications platform that offers digital convenience, simple plans, and fast service, and we have made it easy for customers to use through various launch promotions. We will continue to expand differentiated customer benefits and deliver innovative communication experiences going forward."
