The recruitment covers four areas: design, production management, sales, and planning/support. The company is hiring a wide range of talent, from junior-level candidates with at least three years of experience to senior-level professionals with over ten years of experience.

In particular, this recruitment places no restrictions on ship type or industry sector, allowing for the broad hiring of experts from various backgrounds. To this end, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has divided career types into three categories: special ships/defense/naval shipbuilding, military and related agencies, and other industries.

Previously, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries announced plans to expand its business related to warships and special-purpose vessels by utilizing the docks and berths of HD Hyundai Mipo following their merger. Recently, the company was also selected as the preferred bidder for the performance improvement project of the 214-class submarine, creating a need to secure more specialists in the submarine field. Accordingly, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries plans to hire a large number of design engineers necessary for the expansion of its special ship business through this recruitment.

A representative from HD Hyundai Heavy Industries stated, "Through this recruitment, we expect to significantly strengthen our competitiveness in the special-purpose vessel market-including warships, icebreakers, and wind turbine installation vessels-which we plan to establish as new growth engines following the integration with HD Hyundai Mipo."
