Applications Accepted Starting October 13
Expected to Encourage Childbirth and Ease Household Financial Burden
The Yeongwol County Waterworks and Sewerage Office in Gangwon Province announced on October 10 that it will implement a water bill reduction policy for households with multiple children. This policy targets households with two or more minor children, allowing them to receive a 30% discount on their water bills.
This reduction policy is an active support measure by Yeongwol County aimed at fostering a community atmosphere that encourages childbirth and at improving the child-rearing environment.
Applications will be accepted starting October 13. Eligible households can visit their nearest town or township office, or the Waterworks and Sewerage Office, with a copy of their resident registration certificate.
The reduction benefit will be applied starting from the bill issued in the month following the application. For example, if you apply in October, the discount will be reflected on the November bill.
Yoon Jiseung, head of the Waterworks and Sewerage Office, stated, "We expect this reduction policy to ease the financial burden on households with multiple children and to help spread a community atmosphere that encourages childbirth," urging eligible families to actively apply.
Yeongwol County plans to continue its efforts to improve residents' quality of life and create a sustainable local community by implementing various support policies to make Yeongwol a better place to live and raise children.
