Chief of Staff Kang Hoonshik held the first all-staff meeting at the Presidential Office since the inauguration of the Lee Jaemyung administration on the morning of October 10 in the main auditorium of the Yongsan Presidential Office, encouraging employees and delivering his requests, according to the Presidential Office.
The Presidential Office explained that this meeting was held to commend the dedication and efforts of the staff since the launch of the administration, to review the achievements so far, and to reaffirm their commitment to becoming a "competent and successful government" by responding wisely and skillfully to current issues amid the ongoing complex crises.
Chief of Staff Kang Hoonshik expressed his gratitude and encouragement to the staff, saying, "Our government, which was launched without a transition committee, has spent the past four months racing breathlessly to restore people's livelihoods and revive the economy, create new growth engines, normalize abnormal practices, and respond to various disasters and incidents."
He went on to say, "The challenges we currently face are not easy," and urged the Presidential Office to become a more capable organization that makes better decisions by demonstrating competence and creativity. He also called for a culture of mutual understanding and respect among staff members, and asked everyone to set an example in upholding public service discipline.
In addition, Chief of Staff Kang emphasized, "Let us move forward as 'one team' so that the Lee Jaemyung administration can become a 'successful government,'" and, as the head of the Presidential Office, pledged, "I will ensure that hardworking employees receive fair evaluations and rewards."
