Cheongsong County, North Gyeongsang Province, will distribute 16 special emoticons featuring the Cheongsong apple characters "Cheongyi and Songyi" for free starting at 2:00 p.m. on October 13, ahead of the 19th Cheongsong Apple Festival, which opens on October 29.
These emoticons were created to convey messages of hope and encouragement after overcoming the wildfire damage in March. They feature Cheongsong’s iconic tourist destinations, such as Juwangsan Mountain and the Cheongsong Garden Zinnia, highlighting both the beauty and resilience of the region.
Emoticons with warm phrases such as "Cheer Up Song," "Hug Me Song," and "Big Smile Song" can be downloaded by the first 75,000 users who add the "Cheongsong County Office" channel on KakaoTalk. The emoticons can be used for 30 days after download.
County Governor Yoon Kyunghee stated, "I hope these emoticons will serve as a 'digital letter of comfort,' delivering warmth not only as a promotional tool but also to residents and visitors. I also hope that through the upcoming Cheongsong Apple Festival, everyone will once again experience the vitality and beauty of Cheongsong."
The 19th Cheongsong Apple Festival will be held from October 29 to November 2 in the Yongjeoncheon area of Cheongsong-eup, featuring a variety of performances, hands-on programs, and local agricultural product sales events.
