Integrated Management of the Entire Development Permit Process
Geumsan County is introducing the Integrated Permit Support System (IPSS) to enhance the efficiency and systematic management of development permit procedures, which have been a source of inconvenience for applicants due to complex processes and the requirement to submit numerous documents.
In particular, the existing development permit process has faced issues such as the need to fill out application forms and coordinate between departments.
This system digitizes and integrates the entire process, from receiving applications for development activities to internal consultations and permit approvals, enabling faster civil service processing, standardization of work, and systematic accumulation of administrative data.
Accordingly, the county plans to manage the permit process in an integrated manner through this digital-based system, aiming to both streamline administrative procedures and ensure transparency. Efforts are currently underway to establish the necessary administrative foundation, with the goal of stabilizing the system in the near future.
Additionally, to ensure the stable implementation of the system, training sessions and pilot operations are underway for staff in relevant departments. The county also plans to distribute informational materials and hold briefing sessions for applicants in the future.
Kim Seungwon, an official from the Urban Architecture Division, stated, "It will take some time for the system to become fully stabilized," adding, "We are accelerating our preparations to enable full-scale operation as soon as possible."
He further noted, "Once the system is established, both convenience for applicants and administrative efficiency will be dramatically improved."
