Kyung Hee University Achieves Highest-Ever Ranking in THE World University Rankings

Ranked 252nd Globally and 5th Among Comprehensive Universities in Korea

Kyung Hee University has achieved its highest-ever ranking in the '2025 THE World University Rankings' announced by Times Higher Education (THE), a global university assessment organization based in the United Kingdom.

In this evaluation, Kyung Hee University ranked 252nd globally and 5th among comprehensive universities in South Korea, rising 33 places and one place respectively compared to the previous year. The assessment covered 2,191 universities worldwide, comprehensively reflecting five major areas: citations, research, teaching, international outlook, and industry collaboration.

Kyung Hee University showed rapid growth across all evaluated areas. In particular, the university achieved its highest-ever score in the citations category, which measures research quality. Scores also improved in research reputation and teaching reputation, both of which are based on surveys, demonstrating Kyung Hee University's enhanced overall standing. In the international outlook category, the university was evaluated as one of the top institutions in South Korea.

Kyung Hee University is paving the way for the future of higher education through innovation in research and teaching. The university is implementing research promotion policies that encourage creative and interdisciplinary research among its members and is innovating toward integrative education that breaks down departmental barriers. In addition, leveraging its strength in internationalization, Kyung Hee University has actively promoted international joint research.
