The cafe street in Bojeong-dong, Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, has been reborn as a special space themed around a warm and cozy garden.
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced on October 10 that the Bojeong-dong cafe street in Yongin, selected this year for the 'Gyeonggi Province Hidden Gems Tourism Theme Alley' project, has been newly renovated as a special space called 'Cozy Garden,' themed around a warm and cozy garden.
The newly decorated street will be officially unveiled to the public through a lighting ceremony on the evening of October 11.
During the day, Bojeong-dong Cozy Garden offers a vibrant and lively place to relax, while at night it presents a warm and romantic nightscape. To achieve this, the pedestrian area has been equipped with atmospheric lighting, four-season plant boxes, and tree projection lights.
Throughout October, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will host a variety of programs at Bojeong-dong cafe street to promote its transformation.
First, four local workshops will participate in 'Cozy Garden Salon,' offering craft and flower arrangement experiences until October 20, and an exhibition will be held on October 25. In addition, the 'Cozy Garden Awards,' where merchants decorate their own stores and the most attractive store is selected through a judging process, will take place during the opening ceremony on October 11.
The 'Cozy Garden Market' will be held three times-on October 11, 18, and 25-from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., providing visitors with a special shopping and networking experience in a European-style flea market atmosphere.
A representative from the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization said, "We hope that through environmental improvements and new programs, Bojeong-dong cafe street will establish itself as a cozy, garden-style tourist destination that people want to visit all year round. We wish for all visitors to enjoy an emotional experience and true relaxation here."
