Gwangsan District Residents Can Now Receive Local Currency at 39 Bank Branches in Gwangju

Gwangsan Love Gift Certificates to Launch on November 5

Gwangsan District in Gwangju has partnered with local financial institutions to enhance the convenience of using the Gwangsan Love Gift Certificates, which will be issued starting November 5. A total of 39 branches, including NongHyup Bank, Shinhyup Bank, and Saemaeul Geumgo, are participating.

Gwangsan District has formed partnerships with 14 NongHyup Bank branches, 18 Shinhyup Bank branches, and 7 Saemaeul Geumgo branches to issue the gift certificates in the form of check cards. Even citizens who are not familiar with using smartphones can receive one-stop support at bank counters, from signing up for the app to issuing the card.

The Gwangsan Love Gift Certificates will be issued in the amount of 10 billion won to help revitalize the local economy. A 10% discount will be applied at the time of purchase. In Eoryong-dong and Samdo-dong, which have been designated as special disaster areas, an additional 10% cashback will be provided, while an 8% cashback will be offered in other areas.
