Assemblywoman Nam stated, "According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's '2024 Postpartum Care Statistics,' eight out of ten mothers use postpartum care centers. However, the number of such facilities nationwide has decreased from 519 in the second half of 2021 to 460 in the second half of 2024, while the average fee for a standard room has increased by more than 1 million won, from 2.32 million won to 3.55 million won during the same period." She pointed out, "With fewer facilities and rising costs, mothers are increasingly restricted in their right to choose appropriate postpartum care centers according to their financial circumstances."
