Solving Community Issues with Youth Ideas
Three-Month Implementation of Practical Social Contribution Projects
DRB Dongil (CEO Ryu Youngsik) has selected the final three teams for the university student social contribution activity contest, the 'DRB Impact Challenge,' which was conducted in collaboration with the Busan Council on Social Welfare and the Busan Social Contribution Information Center. The selected teams will now begin their full-fledged community activities.
The 'DRB Impact Challenge' is a program designed to address issues in welfare, the environment, and education faced by the local community, leveraging the creative ideas and execution capabilities of university students. The final three teams were chosen through a comprehensive review based on key evaluation criteria such as innovation, sustainability, and feasibility.
The selected teams will receive not only project funding but also practical support necessary for implementation, such as expert mentoring. Under the supervision system of partner organizations, they will carry out their projects over a three-month period. In addition, by connecting with various programs held at the DRB social contribution platform Campus D Busan, participants will gain broad experience in all aspects of social contribution activities, including promotion, event management, and new project planning.
A DRB representative stated, "The process of creating change in the region through the fresh ideas and proactive participation of university students is meaningful in itself," and added, "This DRB Impact Challenge contest is not limited to simply proposing ideas, but supports actual implementation, making it a sustainable social contribution model that fosters the growth of young talent and contributes to solving community issues."
Celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, DRB is an innovative company that began with the first domestic localization of rubber belts and has expanded its business into future industries such as automotive parts, robotics and automation, and healthcare. DRB has also continued a variety of social contribution activities in partnership with the local community, centered around its social contribution platform, Campus D.
