Five Experience Zones Including AI, Master Professionals, and Career Coaching
Seo-gu District in Gwangju Metropolitan City will hold the '2025 Youth Career Fair with the Community' at Deulbul Hall in the Seo-gu Office on October 11.
This fair has been organized in collaboration with the Seo-gu Career and Vocational Experience Support Center to strengthen youth career planning capabilities in response to the rapidly changing job landscape driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the era of artificial intelligence. It also aims to realize community-based career education involving schools, neighborhoods, and public institutions.
The event venue will feature five themed experience zones: ▲Safety Zone: First aid and nursing experience ▲Career Coaching Zone: Tarot and one-on-one career counseling ▲Future New Industry Zone: Hands-on experiences with new technologies such as AI, virtual/augmented reality, and robotics ▲Gwangju Master Zone: Vocational experiences with Gwangju’s master chefs, florists, potters, and artisans ▲Community Environment Zone: Experiences related to renewable energy and carbon neutrality. There will also be a relaxation area offering refreshments such as slushies and popcorn.
A special lecture on 'Job Trends in the New Media Era' will also be held. The speaker, author Lee Nakjun, a former resident at Samsung Seoul Hospital who transitioned from being a doctor to a web novel writer and YouTuber, will share his experiences and engage with youth about the potential of new media platforms.
Seo-gu District Mayor Kim Ikang stated, "This career fair is a meaningful occasion where the community of 'Good City Seo-gu' comes together to support the future of our youth," adding, "I hope this event will serve as an opportunity for young people to grow together with their community and take concrete steps toward realizing their dreams."
