Kim Mia, a member of the People Power Party, announced that she had filed a criminal complaint after receiving a threatening text message stating, "If the People Power Party is not dissolved, I will kill the lawmakers one by one."


On October 5, Kim Mia revealed the text message through her social networking service (SNS), stating, "I have filed a criminal complaint for murder threats at the Haeundae Police Station and completed my statement as the complainant." She continued, "I believe that politicians should always be subject to criticism and scrutiny," and emphasized, "However, when such criticism escalates into life-threatening threats, it becomes a serious crime that can never be protected as freedom of expression."


The text message disclosed by Kim Mia contained a shocking threat: "If you have a brain, dissolve the party. If not, because of you, I will kill the lawmakers one by one."


Kim Mia stated, "I will continue to respond firmly to such criminal acts," and added, "I will not stop working for a society where the rule of law and common sense prevail, and for a nation where the safety of the people is protected."


She went on to say, "During the holiday season, I should be visiting police officers and firefighters to thank them for their efforts in protecting the lives and property of the people, but today, I feel sorry for giving them more work by filing this criminal complaint."
