134 Out of 647 Systems Restored
Vice Minister Kim Minjae Visits Daejeon Headquarters
Encourages On-site Restoration Personnel
Out of the 647 administrative information systems paralyzed by the fire at the National Information Resources Service (NIRS), 134 systems, including 22 first-grade critical operations, have been restored.
According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on October 5, as of 6:00 p.m. on the tenth day since the NIRS fire, the restoration rate stands at 20.7%.
The information systems newly restored on this day include the mobile government employee ID, the Integrated Open Management System homepage, and the main homepage of the Government Complex Management Headquarters (both Korean and English versions). The public institution email system, Onmail, was also partially restored the previous day, which is expected to improve work efficiency for public officials.

After 647 information systems were paralyzed by the fire at the NIRS Daejeon headquarters on September 26, the government has mobilized all available personnel and equipment to carry out restoration work.
Kim Minjae, Vice Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and head of the NIRS on-site situation room, visited the Daejeon headquarters computer room in the morning to inspect the restoration progress, including dust removal.
At the on-site situation room inspection meeting held at 11:00 a.m., officials checked the necessary measures to ensure a smooth system transfer to the Daegu Center.
Vice Minister Kim encouraged the restoration personnel working on-site even during the holiday period and urged them to pay close attention to their safety and health.
