The Gwangju Health and Environment Research Institute received a "satisfactory" evaluation in all categories in the "2025 Proficiency Test for Chimney Dust Sample Collection in the Air Quality Sector," conducted by the National Institute of Environmental Research.
The proficiency test for chimney dust sample collection in the air quality sector is conducted annually for inspection agencies nationwide under the "Act on Testing and Inspection in the Environmental Sector." This test aims to ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement and analysis agencies' testing and inspection capabilities and results.
The test comprehensively evaluates a total of eight areas related to the overall process of chimney dust sample collection, including safety equipment, sampling equipment, leak testing, sampling procedures, and result calculation, in order to verify sampling and testing capabilities for chimney dust emitted from air pollution sources. The Gwangju Health and Environment Research Institute received a "satisfactory" evaluation in all eight areas of chimney dust sample collection in this test.
