"Ceasefire to Take Effect Immediately If Accepted by Hamas"
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Israel has agreed to a first-phase military withdrawal to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
On October 4 (local time), President Trump wrote on Truth Social, "After negotiations, Israel has agreed to the first-phase withdrawal line that we proposed and shared with Hamas."
President Trump further stated, "If Hamas confirms (accepts) this, a ceasefire will take effect immediately, and the exchange of hostages and prisoners will begin."
He added, "After that, we will establish conditions for the next phase of withdrawal, which will accelerate the end of a catastrophe that has lasted for three thousand years."
President Trump also posted a map photo showing the first-phase withdrawal line marked with a yellow line in this post.
