An Kyubaek Inspects Patriot Battery Readiness: "Maintain an Unbreakable 24-Hour Defense"

On October 4, ahead of the Chuseok holiday, Defense Minister An Kyubaek visited a Patriot missile battery responsible for defending the airspace over the Seoul metropolitan area to inspect its readiness.

According to the Ministry of National Defense, Minister An received a briefing on the current state of readiness and inspected the site where the mission is carried out. He emphasized that "the Patriot missile battery is a key asset in the Korean three-axis system" and urged, "I ask that you maintain an unbreakable 24-hour missile defense posture under any circumstances."

Prior to this, Minister An had a meal with service members at the military dining facility to encourage them.

During the meal, he stated, "By improving service conditions for our troops, we will make military service something to be proud of and build a military full of morale."

In addition, at the Joint Chiefs of Staff Combat Control Center, Minister An held a video call with troops deployed overseas, telling them, "I am proud of the service members who, even during the Chuseok holiday, are diligently fulfilling their duties far from home and family in foreign lands."
