The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Gwangju Nurses Association's Nursing Workforce Support Center conducted the "Chuseok Health Safety Campaign with Nurses" to support the safe homecoming and return journeys of the public during the Chuseok holiday.
This campaign began at Seoul Station on the 1st and was simultaneously held for two days on the 3rd and 4th at 16 major KTX stations nationwide, including Yongsan Station, Busan Station, Daejeon Station, Gwangju Songjeong Station, as well as at Incheon General Terminal.
The Gwangju Nurses Association carried out the campaign at Gwangju Songjeong Station, targeting travelers returning home for the holiday. At the on-site booth, a "QR-based Health and Emergency Information Program" was operated. Visitors could scan the QR code to easily check the locations of emergency rooms operating during the Chuseok holiday and obtain emergency response information for various situations.
In particular, the campaign provided guidance on how to respond to everyday emergencies such as burns, bee stings, airway obstruction, and cardiac arrest. Nurses stationed at the booth explained how to use the QR codes and offered brief health consultations. In addition, to encourage public participation, a "Health Fortune Lottery Event" was held for those who scanned the QR code, with health-related souvenirs given out as prizes.

At this event, the Gwangju Nurses Association collaborated with the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Nursing Workforce Support Center to help the public experience the expertise of nurses in their daily lives.
Ji Hyeryeon, President of the Gwangju Nurses Association, emphasized, "The Chuseok holiday is a period when the likelihood of emergencies is high. By providing instant access to emergency room operation information and first aid methods through QR codes, as well as health consultations from nurses, we are offering practical support to the public."
President Ji added, "The Nurses Association will continue to prioritize public health and carry out activities that closely connect the expertise of nurses with the daily lives of the people."
