Currently, around 19,000 vehicles are heading toward Gwangju, and about 27,000 vehicles are heading to the South Jeolla region. Over the course of the day, it is expected that a total of 336,000 vehicles will travel to Gwangju and South Jeolla Province.
The Korea Expressway Corporation stated, "Currently, traffic on the expressways is generally smooth, but at major interchanges, the number of vehicles is increasing, causing stop-and-go traffic," and urged holiday travelers to check the traffic conditions before departure.
