On this day, Mayor Joo visited the Dreams Vocational Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled in Dasan-dong (headed by Kim Minseo) and the Namyangju Senior Club Joint Workshop in Songneung-ri, Jingeon-eup (headed by Lee Sujin), where he encouraged elderly and disabled workers and spent time communicating with them.
Mayor Joo expressed his deep gratitude, saying, "I sincerely thank the staff who play an important role behind the scenes in supporting the vocational rehabilitation and welfare of socially marginalized groups such as the elderly and disabled," and added, "I will continue to work even harder to create a warm and compassionate social atmosphere by caring for those around us."

Meanwhile, in September 2025, the city provided consolation funds to 27 organizations and facilities, including groups and facilities for the disabled and welfare centers for the elderly, to ensure that all citizens could enjoy a happy and warm Chuseok holiday.
