Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) delivered local specialty products and daily necessities to 120 vulnerable households and 30 underprivileged children in the province ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
On October 2, GH announced that it had provided a total of 10 million won worth of specialty products from Gapyeong County to 120 partnered households as part of a customized support program, in cooperation with the Korean Red Cross.
Previously, in August, GH had earmarked a donation of 20 million won to assist residents of Gapyeong County affected by heavy rainfall. This latest support is particularly meaningful as it utilized local specialty products to help stimulate the regional economy.
GH also delivered "Living Support Packages," consisting of blankets and daily necessities, to 30 underprivileged children living in child welfare centers within the province.
Kim Yongjin, President of GH, stated, "I hope this sharing initiative provides warmth and comfort to our neighbors in need and underprivileged children during the holiday," adding, "We will continue to practice sustainable ESG management in partnership with the local community."
