In particular, with the Chuseok holiday period extended to about ten days due to National Foundation Day and Hangeul Day, large crowds are expected to gather at stations and terminals. In response, 31 vehicles and 134 personnel will be pre-deployed at 24 locations, including Jeonju Station, to prepare for emergencies.
In fire-prone areas such as traditional markets, preventive patrols will be conducted twice a day, and a 24-hour monitoring system will be maintained to minimize damage by responding quickly in the event of fires or disasters.
Additionally, in preparation for possible firefighting system malfunctions due to fires at national information resource management facilities, the emergency duty system will be strengthened by enhancing fire system monitoring and recovery verification procedures.
Lee Osuk, head of the Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters, stated, "During the Chuseok holiday, large crowds of returning residents and tourists are expected to gather in specific locations. Especially this year, with the long holiday, there may be an increased risk of safety accidents as more facilities remain closed or unattended. We will do our utmost to respond swiftly to unexpected system failures, such as the recent fire at the National Information Resources Service, and ensure that residents can enjoy a safe and comfortable Chuseok holiday."
