Seo-gu Office Fencing Team in Gwangju Wins Gold, Silver, and Bronze at National Sports Festival

The fencing team of Seo-gu Office in Gwangju, led by coach Park Kwanghyun, achieved remarkable results at the 106th National Sports Festival, elevating the prestige of local sports.


According to Seo-gu Office on October 1, the Seo-gu Office fencing team won the gold medal in the women's team ?p?e event, the silver medal in the women's individual ?p?e event (Choi Eunsook), and the bronze medal in the men's team ?p?e event at this year's competition.

In the women's team ?p?e event, Kang Youngmi, Choi Eunsook, Jung Jiyoon, and Kim Subin captured the gold medal with meticulous teamwork and strong determination.


In particular, Kang Youngmi, who is set to retire this year, was deeply moved as she won a gold medal in her final competition, bringing tears to her eyes. Kang, who has been a pillar of the team for many years, is regarded as having made a memorable and honorable exit that will be remembered by the Seo-gu Office fencing team.


Choi Eunsook demonstrated her prowess as the team's ace by adding a silver medal in the individual event to her gold in the team event. In the men's team ?p?e event, Kim Sangjin, Kim Jaewon, Lee Seunghyun, and Kim Daeun maintained their focus and worked together to secure the bronze medal, showcasing balanced performances across the team.
