On September 29, 2025, Yeongyang County in North Gyeongsang Province conducted a content shoot at the Jang Gyehyang Cultural Experience and Education Center to enhance the brand value of its local specialty products.
This shoot was planned to widely promote the reputation of Yeongyang’s representative specialties, including Yeongyang chili peppers, Chohwaju (traditional liquor), and kimchi, and to further revitalize the local economy.
In particular, the county invited the well-known influencer Tzuyang to produce a variety of content featuring these specialty products, aiming to more effectively convey the excellence of Yeongyang’s local specialties to the public.
At the filming site, major specialties such as Bitkkalchan chili powder, Chohwaju, and kimchi were introduced, along with tourism resources in Yeongyang County, including the Yeongyang Birch Forest.
This initiative is part of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s policy to revitalize areas experiencing population decline. The project aims to reinvigorate Yeongyang County, a region facing population decrease, through specialty product brand marketing. Yeongyang County plans to continue expanding such innovative promotional efforts in the future.
County Governor Oh Dochang stated, "I hope that this shoot will further strengthen the reputation of Yeongyang chili peppers, as well as apples and Chohwaju," adding, "I wish that enhancing the competitiveness of our specialty products will lead to revitalization of the local economy."
