The launch of this platform is a strategic move to break away from the conventional practice in the domestic commercial real estate market, where institutional-level research and investment insights have been circulated in a closed manner. Instead, it aims to provide high-quality information accessibility to all market participants.
Mastern Insight is designed not only to provide information, but also to serve as a channel for Mastern Investment Management to release its accumulated commercial real estate data and house view to the public. The content consists of in-depth market analysis reports prepared by the research-specialized R&S (Research & Strategy) division, field-based columns written by operational professionals responsible for actual deal sourcing and management, and articles on domestic and global real estate trends contributed by internal and external experts.
The intention is to offer "practical intelligence" that combines quantitative data analysis with real market insights, enabling investors to utilize this information in their actual decision-making. Since the commercial real estate market is an area with limited access to information and significant information asymmetry, this attempt to convert institutional-level analysis into a public platform is expected to enhance overall information efficiency in the market.
With the introduction of Mastern Insight, the company released the "2025 First Half Office Investment Market Review and Outlook." In the first half of this year, the office transaction volume in the Seoul and Bundang regions reached 11.7 trillion won, marking a 188.4% increase compared to the same period last year and setting a new record for the first half. The key drivers of the transaction recovery were identified as the decline in market interest rates and a series of large-scale transactions. The report predicts that the annual transaction volume in the Seoul and Bundang regions could reach up to 24.5 trillion won.
The article "Post-Pandemic Diagnosis of the Seoul Hotel Market" highlighted the structural recovery of inbound tourism demand. It analyzed that the number of foreign tourists visiting Korea has not only returned to pre-pandemic levels but has also entered a growth trajectory. The Seoul hotel market is expected to show signs of recovery due to limited new supply and the rebound in foreign demand.
