Automatic 40-Second Video Creation

On October 1, Kakao Entertainment announced that it will provide creators with artificial intelligence (AI) technology that automatically converts webtoons into short-form videos free of charge.
This technology, named the "Helix Shorts AI Agent," automatically extracts key scenes from webtoons and converts them into videos of around 40 seconds. Previously, Kakao Entertainment selected certain works and produced them directly, but now any creator can use this technology.
Since September 29, it has been offered first to production companies creating exclusive webtoons for KakaoPage, with plans to expand its availability in the future. The completed short-form videos can be used not only on KakaoPage but also on the production companies' websites, YouTube, and various other platforms.
Kim Kibum, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Kakao Entertainment, stated, "We will continue to research and develop AI technology to ensure the sustainable growth of the domestic creative ecosystem."
