A Participatory Festival with Enhanced Convenience for Visitors
Seocheon County held a progress meeting for the "2nd Jongcheon Buttomeak Festival" in Jongcheon-myeon to review the detailed plans. The festival will be held for two days starting November 1 at the Heirisan public parking lot.
Jongcheon-myeon in Seocheon County, South Chungcheong Province, will host the "2nd Jongcheon Buttomeak Festival" for two days from November 1 to 2 at the public parking lot at the entrance to Heirisan.
This year's festival will offer an even richer autumn celebration by expanding food booths, increasing hands-on programs, and improving convenience facilities.
The county announced on October 1 that it held a progress meeting on September 30 at the Jongcheon-myeon Administrative Welfare Center, attended by festival officials, to review the detailed plans.
Under the theme "A Delicious Encounter of Buchimgae and Makgeolli," the festival will kick off with an opening ceremony at 2 p.m. on November 1, followed by a variety of programs including a makgeolli brewing experience, a green onion kimchi making experience, a food market featuring local agricultural products such as scallions, performances by invited singers, and a park golf tournament.
In particular, food sales and hands-on booths operated directly by local residents and farmers are expected to contribute to increasing farm income and revitalizing the local economy.
Jongcheon-myeon plans to establish this festival as a "participatory festival" where residents and tourists can enjoy together, aiming to make it a new flagship cultural event for Seocheon County.
Shin Eonkyu, chairman of the festival organizing committee, stated, "We have addressed last year's shortcomings by installing sunshades and significantly expanding the number of food booths this year. We will do our best to enhance visitor convenience and make the festival even more successful."
