Samsung Electronics is reportedly planning to unveil its new form factor, the trifold phone 'Galaxy Z Trifold,' which folds twice, at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit to be held in Gyeongju at the end of October.

According to industry sources on September 30, Samsung Electronics will showcase the trifold phone at its exhibition space within the APEC venue. Instead of holding a separate launch event, the company is expected to reveal the device in a limited manner by setting up a dedicated exhibition area.
The trifold represents an evolution from the 'Fold' series, which folds with a single hinge, by allowing the screen to be folded once more.
When unfolded, it offers a large display comparable to a tablet, while folding it provides the portability of a regular smartphone.
The trifold phone was first introduced globally by Huawei in September last year with the launch of the 'Mate XT.' Although Samsung Electronics is entering the market later, its strategy is to differentiate itself by emphasizing superior technology and product completeness.
