Korea Tourism Organization Signs Business Agreement to Support Employment and Talent Development in Regional Tourism Industry

The Korea Tourism Organization announced that it signed a business agreement with the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Economic Promotion Agency, Chungbuk Enterprise Promotion Agency, Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency, and Jeonnam Small and Medium Business Job and Economy Promotion Agency on the 30th at the aT Center in Seoul to support employment and talent development in the regional tourism industry.

The Korea Tourism Organization explained that this agreement aims to overcome the regional limitations of its tourism job center’s employment support services, which have so far focused mainly on the Seoul metropolitan area, by building a nationwide employment support network.

Each organization that signed the agreement with the Korea Tourism Organization plans to carry out various collaborative projects for employment support and talent development in the tourism industry, including discovering local job seekers and recruiting companies in the tourism sector, providing employment services such as job consulting and job matching programs, and operating educational programs for the tourism industry.

Youngchung Seo, acting president of the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "Through this agreement, talented tourism professionals will be attracted to the regions, which will help the regional tourism industry to grow. The Korea Tourism Organization will spare no effort in providing a variety of support, not only through customized employment support services but also by strengthening talent development programs based on local field demand."

The '2025 Tourism Job Festa' is scheduled to be held at the aT Center, where the business agreement was signed, until October 1. The Korea Tourism Organization is operating consultation booths for employment support together with a total of 13 organizations, including the agreement partners.
