Democratic Party Appoints Seungse Cha, Principal of Gwangju Roh Moo-hyun Citizen School, as Deputy Spokesperson

Seungse Cha, Principal of Gwangju Roh Moo-hyun Citizen School, has been appointed as a deputy spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Korea's central headquarters.

On September 30, the central headquarters of the Democratic Party announced, "Deputy Spokesperson Cha was appointed on September 26 and will officially begin work on October 15."

Deputy Spokesperson Cha previously served as Special Political Advisor to the Mayor of Gwangju and as Chief of Staff at the Gwangsan District Office. He is currently the Chair of the Talent Innovation Recruitment Committee at the National Council of Democratic Local Autonomy Leaders (KDLC) and Principal of Gwangju Roh Moo-hyun Citizen School. During the 21st presidential election, he was the Head of the Organization Team for Lee Jaemyung's Central Election Committee and Director of Strategic Planning for the Gwangju Election Committee, overseeing election organization and message strategy.

He has also served as Vice Chair of the Central Policy Committee and Policy Specialist for the Gwangju City Party, earning a reputation for extensive practical experience in policy and organization. Recently, he ran as the only candidate from the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions in the party's Supreme Council election for ordinary members but was not elected. There is speculation that he may run as a candidate for Gwangsan District Mayor in next year's local elections.

Deputy Spokesperson Cha stated, "I will deliver the party's messages to the public accurately and responsibly," adding, "I will do my best to ensure that the voices heard in the region are reflected in the party's policies and vision."
