Yangsan City to Operate 653 Medical Institutions and 428 Pharmacies During Chuseok Holiday

Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province will operate an "emergency response system" during the upcoming Chuseok holiday period to minimize gaps in medical care and respond to emergency patients.

To provide emergency care, the emergency rooms at Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital, Bethesda Gospel Hospital, and Bonbareun Hospital will be open 24 hours a day. In addition, 653 local medical institutions and 428 pharmacies have been designated as facilities that will remain open during the holiday period, ensuring that even patients with minor conditions can receive treatment without interruption.

To further support public healthcare during the holiday, the Yangsan City Public Health Center will provide normal medical services on the day of Chuseok (October 6), and the Ungsang Public Health Center will operate as usual on the substitute holiday (October 8).

Additionally, to respond quickly to disaster and emergency situations, the "Yangsan City Public Health Center Rapid Response Team" will be on duty in the comprehensive situation room during the day (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) throughout the holiday period. At night (6 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following day), the team will switch to a remote work system to maintain emergency readiness.

Information on medical institutions and pharmacies available during the holiday can be found on the Emergency Medical Portal, the Yangsan City Hall and Public Health Center websites, or the Emergency Ddokddok app.

Citizens who have difficulty accessing the internet can obtain operating hours by calling the 129 Health and Welfare Call Center, the 119 Emergency Situation Management Center, or by checking posters displayed at the entrances of designated medical institutions and pharmacies.

A representative from the public health center stated, "Yangsan City will thoroughly operate the emergency medical system and do its utmost to prevent infectious diseases so that both residents and visitors can enjoy a safe and comfortable holiday during Chuseok."
