Gochang County Offers 20% Special Discount on Local Gift Certificates for Chuseok

Gochang County in North Jeolla Province announced on September 30 that it will hold a "Gochang Love Gift Certificate Special Discount Event" throughout October to mark the Chuseok holiday, aiming to stabilize residents' livelihoods and revitalize the local economy.

This special discount offers up to 20% benefits through a 10% upfront discount when purchasing gift certificates and an additional 10% cashback when making payments with the Gochang Love Card. In particular, the monthly purchase limit has been increased to 1 million won, further enhancing the benefits for residents.

For example, when purchasing a 100,000 won gift certificate, buyers can receive a 10% (10,000 won) upfront discount and pay only 90,000 won. If they then use the Gochang Love Card for payment, 10% of the payment amount will be credited as cashback, allowing them to enjoy up to a 20% benefit in total. However, the amount already discounted by 10% is excluded from the cashback calculation.

County Governor Sim Deokseop stated, "Through this special discount, we hope to ease the financial burden on residents and expect increased sales for local small business owners. With the addition of the county's Resident Vitality Support Fund and the government's Livelihood Consumption Coupon, we hope all residents will enjoy a more abundant Chuseok holiday."

Meanwhile, the Gochang Love Gift Certificate can be used at traditional markets and affiliated stores within the region, playing a significant role in fostering a virtuous cycle for the local economy.
