Thailand's "national son," Nunew Chawarin, is making his debut in Korea. At a press conference held at Raum Chamber Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 29th, he said, "I have enjoyed listening to K-pop since I was young. I was deeply impressed by the music and performances of BTS, NewJeans, and IU."
"Hello, I am Nunew. I am debuting in Korea. Please support me." Nunew greeted the audience in Korean as he took the stage. He said, "K-pop is highly sophisticated in terms of vocals, dance, and production. Although it may be a distant dream for now, I would love to collaborate with BTS and Blackpink in the future." He also named IU and Jaehyun of NCT as his favorite Korean artists.
Born in Bangkok in 2001, Nunew rose to stardom in 2022 as the lead actor in the drama "Cutie Pie Series." He later expanded his career as a singer, and from 2023 over two years, all five singles he released consecutively topped the Thai charts, earning him the titles "national son" and "Asian pearl."
Last year, he won the Music Artist of the Year award at the TikTok Thailand Awards, and his first solo concert sold out all seats. In Japan, he reached No. 5 on the Oricon chart, expanding his activities throughout Asia. He currently has 4.11 million followers on Instagram, 2.38 million on TikTok, and 1.1 million on X (formerly Twitter), forming a global fandom.
Having been loved in Thailand for his cute image, he said, "This time, I want to show a mature and sophisticated new image."
Nunew also has connections to Korea. In July, he was invited to perform at the "2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon SUMMER-UNIPOP" stage, where he met with Korean fans, and last year, he released a duet song titled "A Few Things Needed for Flowers to Bloom" with singer Paul Kim. He also served as the first MC for the Thai edition of Mnet's "M Countdown."

Regarding his new song "Leave Me With Your Love," which will be released on the 30th, he said, "It's a song in which I tried a new genre, and the music video is also something different. I am curious to see how people will receive it." As for including some Korean lyrics, he explained, "I wanted Korean fans to feel more connected to the lyrics, so I gave it a try."
This new single was completed in collaboration with hit-maker producer El Capitan. Nunew said, "The message is about healing the pain of separation with memories of love," adding, "I even performed the rap part myself, wanting to show a different side of me." He repeatedly emphasized that he is seeking change by breaking away from his ballad image, showcasing a broader vocal range, and experimenting with new genres.
Nunew will hold a showcase at Yes24 Hall in Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on October 1, where he will meet with Korean fans. He pledged, "I will continue my activities in Korea with a focus on the stage, further honing my skills and performances."
