Sorux Signs 4.1 Billion Won Lighting Contract for Kolon Global’s "Warner Cheongdam"

Sorux, a company specializing in LED lighting, announced on September 29 that it has signed a lighting construction contract for “Warner Cheongdam,” an ultra-luxury residence in Cheongdam-dong being built by Kolon Global. The contract is valued at approximately 4.1 billion won.

Warner Cheongdam is an ultra-luxury residence with 16 units located along the Han River in Cheongdam-dong. The complex features a Sky Garage concept, allowing vehicles to be parked inside each unit using a lift, and includes penthouses priced at 35 billion won, making it a symbolic development in the high-end market.

For this project, Sorux will supply a high-end lighting lineup based on high color rendering index (High CRI), low unified glare rating (UGR), and precision light distribution design. The company plans to apply a consistent quality management system throughout all stages, from design, mock-up, construction, and commissioning to post-maintenance.

In particular, Sorux will provide a full lineup of exterior, indirect, and accent lighting, meticulously tuning light distribution, luminous flux, color rendering index, and lighting scenarios to reflect the specific purpose and finishing materials of each site. Leveraging this strategy of high quality, functionality, and premiumization, the company has also participated in Korea’s top luxury residential projects such as Hannam The Hill, Nine One Hannam, Seoul Forest Trimage, and Cheongdam Eterno.

The company’s core strategy is to develop lighting fixtures that promote human health. Alongside premiumization, Sorux aims to improve users’ living environments through health-functional lighting and deliver differentiated value in the premium residential market.

Sorux is also expanding its accumulated design expertise from special environments such as nuclear power plants and tunnels to premium residential sites. The company has designed special LED lighting for nuclear power plants to withstand high-radiation environments, secured related registered patents, and commercialized these products.

A Sorux representative stated, “Warner Cheongdam is a highly challenging site where both design and performance must be satisfied,” and added, “We will enhance residents’ visual comfort and spatial experience with high-end performance lighting and continue to target the premium residential market with our strategy of high quality, functionality, and premiumization.”
