Swan Shipyard possesses India's largest dry dock, capable of constructing very large crude carriers (VLCCs) and offshore facilities. Samsung Heavy Industries plans to expand its collaboration with this shipyard in the areas of engineering, procurement, and production management (EPM) for new shipbuilding, as well as in offshore project sectors. By establishing a production base in India, where the shipbuilding industry is being actively fostered, Samsung Heavy Industries aims to gradually expand its business, leveraging the increasing volume of maritime logistics.

Previously, Samsung Heavy Industries has steadily expanded its global network, forming strategic partnerships with PaxOcean in China in July last year and with Vigor Marine Group in the United States in August this year. Through these efforts, the company intends to establish a sustainable business system and lay the foundation for future growth.

Namgoong Geumseong, Executive Vice President and Head of the Production Support Division at Samsung Heavy Industries, stated, "This partnership, which combines technology and market opportunities, represents the best win-win model for both companies. We will continue to actively pursue new opportunities for future growth." Vipin Kumar Saxena, CEO of Swan Shipyard, commented, "We are delighted to collaborate with Samsung Heavy Industries and look forward to exploring new business opportunities in the shipbuilding and offshore sectors."
