Nuclear Safety and Security Commission States "No Abnormalities" Detected
The Nuclear Safety and Security Commission announced on the 27th that the safe operation of domestic nuclear power plants has been confirmed to be "unaffected" in relation to the fire that occurred at the National Information Resources Service on the 26th.
The commission stated, "AtomCARE, which manages and monitors the detailed status and various operating variables of nuclear power plants in real time, is unrelated to this fire. Through AtomCARE, we have confirmed that all domestic nuclear power plants remain in a safe condition."
The commission also added that the Nuclear Safety Information Disclosure Center is operating normally, and that nuclear and radiation safety information-such as the operational status of each nuclear facility, national environmental radiation monitoring data, and marine environmental radiation monitoring data-is being provided through the center's website.
Regarding the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission's website and internal administrative systems, which experienced system failures due to the fire, the commission stated that it will cooperate with the National Information Resources Service to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
