"The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin" is a subculture open-world action role-playing game (RPG) based on the Japanese animation intellectual property (IP) "The Seven Deadly Sins," which has sold more than 55 million copies worldwide.

On the opening day of the Tokyo Game Show, September 25, Netmarble held a production presentation and offered the first playable demo. Currently, pre-registration is available on the game's brand website, and a closed beta test will be held for one week starting October 30. The beta will be available exclusively on PlayStation 5 and PC, allowing participants to experience the beginning of the main story, a portion of the open-world area, and the combat system in advance. The official release date is set for January 28 next year, and the game will be launched simultaneously on console, PC, and mobile platforms.

Previously, last month, Netmarble unveiled large-scale outdoor advertisements for "The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin" throughout the Shibuya and Shinjuku districts of Tokyo. The 15-second video advertisement, promoting pre-registration, featured the original protagonists Meliodas and Tristan riding mounts and soaring through the sky. Using anamorphic techniques, the billboard created a three-dimensional, lifelike effect as if the characters were leaping out of the screen.

Netmarble expressed its hope that players would enjoy the thrill of adventure with friends and companions in "The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin." The company also anticipated that controlling characters from the manga and playing with favorite character combinations would add to the enjoyment.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Netmarble CEO Kim Byunggyu quietly visited the Tokyo Game Show venue the previous afternoon to observe the atmosphere and left satisfied.
