Changwon City Autonomous Administration Bureau Presents Chuseok Gifts to Children at Child Protection Facility

Employees of the Autonomous Administration Bureau of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam visited a local child protection facility ahead of Chuseok, the nation's largest traditional holiday.

On September 25, thirteen employees from the Autonomous Administration Bureau visited Masan Orphanage, a child protection facility in Masanhappo-gu, and presented children with packages containing snacks and daily necessities.

These gifts were prepared using 600,000 won in voluntary donations collected by the bureau's employees for children at welfare facilities.

The staff met with the children to talk about their dreams and hopes for the future, and expressed gratitude and encouragement to the facility's workers.

Masan Orphanage was established in 1952 to provide child protection and support for self-reliance, and currently houses 27 children.

Director Jeong Sooki stated, "The children's smiles are the greatest gift for all of us," and added, "I hope today's small act of sharing will remain as a spark of hope in the children's hearts and become the foundation for nurturing even bigger dreams."

She continued, "Going forward, Changwon City will continue to be a warm support system, working together with the local community so that children can grow up safely and happily."
