Chungcheongnam-do Mayors and County Governors Association Holds Regular Meeting in Geumsan County

Park Beomin, County Governor of Geumsan, Proposes Easing Requirements for Appointing Water Facility Managers

The 2nd regular meeting of the Chungcheongnam-do Mayors and County Governors Association for the 4th year of the 8th popularly elected term was held on September 24 at the Small Theater of Saengmyeong House in Geumsan Darakwon.

Attendees included Park Beomin, County Governor of Geumsan; Choi Woncheol, Mayor of Gongju; Kim Dongil, Mayor of Boryeong; Oh Sehyun, Mayor of Asan; Lee Wanseop, Mayor of Seosan; Lee Eungwoo, Mayor of Gyeryong; Kim Dongon, County Governor of Cheongyang; Lee Yongrok, County Governor of Hongseong; and Choi Jaegu, County Governor of Yesan.

At the meeting, Park Beomin, County Governor of Geumsan, proposed two out of a total of twelve agenda items: easing the requirements for appointing water facility managers, and improving relevant laws and systems to utilize idle state-owned property for strengthening local public safety.

As part of the official meeting schedule, the participants also attended the 43rd Geumsan World Ginseng Festival. County Governor Park Beomin introduced major festival programs, including the International Ginseng Trade Fair, ginseng weight measurement, and red ginseng foot bath experiences.

County Governor Park Beomin stated, "I am honored that the Chungcheongnam-do Mayors and County Governors Association is being held in Geumsan County during the 43rd Geumsan World Ginseng Festival," adding, "I hope that continuous exchanges and cooperation through the association will enable all local governments to grow together."
