Goseong County in Gangwon Province (Governor Ham Myungjun) announced on September 24 that it will host "Goseong County Residents’ Day" at the Gangneung Sports Complex during the Gangwon FC home match scheduled for September 27.
This event has been organized in collaboration with Gangwon FC, the region’s professional football club, to foster a sense of community through sports and to provide residents with an enjoyable viewing experience.
At the match between Gangwon FC and Daejeon Hana Citizen, which will take place at 2 p.m. on the same day, Goseong County residents who present their ID at the stadium will receive a 50% discount on admission fees: 9,500 won for the main stand and temporary seating, and 8,500 won for cheering, general, and free seating.
Additionally, before the match begins, 22 youth football players from Goseong FC will participate as "escort kids," entering the field hand in hand with Gangwon FC players to create a memorable experience.
Outside the stadium, a Goseong County promotional booth will be set up. The booth will actively promote the Goseong Myeongtae Festival, major tourist attractions, deep-sea water, and local specialties to visitors, showcasing the unique appeal of Goseong.
A Goseong County official stated, "We hope that on this cool autumn weekend, families will come to the stadium, cheer for Gangwon FC, and enjoy a stress-free day. As this day is dedicated to Goseong County residents, we look forward to many people coming out to enjoy the match."
