Jangsu County in North Jeolla Province will host the 6th Jangsu Trail Race from September 25 to 28, 2025.
According to the county on September 24, the 6th Jangsu Trail Race will feature a total of five courses: 100M, 100K, 38K-P (Palgongsan), 38K-J (Jangansan), and 20K. The 100M course will kick off on September 26, followed by the main races starting on September 27.
This event, hosted by Jangsu County and organized by Rock&Run Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Youngrok), will introduce the 100-mile course for the first time. It is expected to serve as a significant milestone in establishing the event as the premier trail race competition in Korea.
Trail running is a sport that takes place on natural terrain such as forest paths and dirt trails, rather than artificial tracks or asphalt. The Jangsu Trail Race is held against the backdrop of Jangsu County’s major tourist attractions, including Jangansan, Palgongsan, the Dongchon-ri tombs, and the equestrian road. This allows participants to experience both the beautiful natural scenery and the region’s historical and cultural resources, earning the event high praise every year.
During the event, the main venue at Jangsu Sports Complex will feature booths selling high-quality local agricultural products, a variety of food options, and hands-on programs. Sponsor brand booths will also be set up, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere for both athletes and visitors to enjoy.
CEO Kim Youngrok said, "I hope that the growing Jangsu Trail Race will help Jangsu County become a mecca for mountain leisure sports. We will do our best to successfully host the 100-mile course and establish this event as Korea’s leading trail race."
Choi Hunsik, Governor of Jangsu County, stated, "The Jangsu Trail Race, which started on a small scale in 2022, has grown each year. We hope this trail race will help the county emerge as a hub for mountain leisure tourism. We will continue to expand the infrastructure so that athletes and visitors can fully experience the unique charm of Jangsu, and we are committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable trail race event."
